And now for something completely different

And now for something that is not nerdy or for the mechanically inclined. A relative is selling their home to move closer to family nearby and I’m hoping they sell their house quickly. So, I put up a quick and dirty 1995 style pure html, search engine friendly page to help out located here:

Their house is extremely nice and it seems like the further south you go, the more home you can get for the money. This house is in Charlotte, NC and even a few hours north in Virginia, you get so much less. They are listing their house for $325,000 which is 3,166 sq ft and a 5 bedroom built in 1998. In central Virginia, near Richmond VA, the same house would be at least $500,000 and in Northern Virginia within the beltway and in a nicer area it would be more like $1,000,000. I guess that is better than a lot of places which are still in deflation in California and still better than homes people make fun of in New Jersey which are crazy expensive. The home prices in the south always have me looking though, nice weather, lots for the money etc. Ever price out a house in Alabama? Go take a look. Seriously. It is just so cheap compared to northeastern or California cities. Already from Alabama? Go look at home prices along the East and West Coast of the US. Maybe I am just jealous or need to stop spending money on computer and racing equipment.
